Meet Dr. Thomas Brown (Severna Park, MD)

Dr. Tom Brown completed a dual-degree program studying Microbiology and Psychology at University of Maryland and went on to receive a Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He has completed clinical externships at the Eye Care Center in Richmond, KY Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Baltimore, MD and The Eye Center, Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Brown serves on the Board of Directors for Ars Biotechnica, a public charity he co-founded in 2013. Ars Biotechnica empowers students from Maryland and across the world to implement their own synthetic biology experiments and publish in an international synthetic biology journal, which Dr. Brown also co-founded.

In his spare time, Dr. Brown enjoys time with his family and new puppy Boh, following the Orioles, Yankees and NY Rangers, and trying new restaurants in the Baltimore-Washington area.
