Meet Dr. Jane Council (Severna Park, MD)

Dr. Jane Council earned her degree in Molecular and Cell Biology and received Dean’s List distinction during her undergraduate studies at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She went on to obtain a Doctor of Optometry degree at Illinois College of Optometry where she was awarded Dean’s List recognition and received the Multicultural Association Service Scholarship. During her graduate studies, she was a member of the international optometric honor society Beta Sigma Kappa.

Dr. Council completed clinical externships at Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL, Lebanon Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, PA and Perry Point Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Perry Point, MD. Additionally, she completed a primary care residency at the Danville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Danville, VA.

Outside of the clinic, you will find Dr. Council reading, playing games with friends and spending time with her jokester husband and sassy, sweet daughter.
